What's New at BR&D Landscape?
  • BRAND NEW TECHNOLOGY IN THE WAR ON STRING ALGAE

We know that string algae can be the bane of a pond owner's existence, and that is why we are so excited to tell you about the latest innovation from Aquascape® designed to take the stress out of battling this eyesore.

The IonGen™ Electronic Clarifier for Ponds and Pondless® Waterfall Systems drastically reduces pond maintenance and provides crystal clear water without the use of algae-fighting chemicals.

The IonGen™ releases a mixture of copper, silver and zinc ions into the water's path. The IonGen™ Probe is self-cleaning using reverse polarity to prevent scale and debris build-up on the Probes bars. The metal alloys in the Probe are scientifically blended and tested to produce maximum results.

The system has been extensively tested. It is safe for fish and plants and does not pose toxicity concerns to animals that may drink from the pond.

The IonGen™ is energy efficient at less that $1.00 per month in electricity costs, and the unit weighs about four pounds.

Order your IonGen™ before the spring rush and take advantage of our introductory special. Get your IonGen™ installed before March 15, 2010 and receive 10 percent off.

  • Seriously De-Icing - AquaForce™ Solids Handling Pump can accomplish what most other pumps only aspire to achieve. The combination of high performance flow with a low maintenance design. Drop it right in the pond and let it flow! A protective intake body surrounding our high efficiency magnetic drive pump protects the pump from debris, reducing the frequency the pump has to be removed for maintenance.

  • Vacation Pond Maintenance Service: Available through our Pond Service Division. Call 303-660-5015 and ask for Kelly.
  • Cold Water Bacteria: Not only is it great in early spring and fall for keeping your water balanced, some people are saying it reduces string algae. Use it during warm weeks in the winter, then start it consistently in March along with SAB.
  • EcoShade: Can be added to your water, turning it blue, to create early-season shade, which helps minimize spring string-algae blooms.
  • Pond Tunnels: In our earlier ponds, we built shelves to create hiding places for fish, called "fish garages". A new idea is "tunnels" consisting of drain pipe laid on the bottom against a shelf and then concealed with rock and gravel. Please contact us for more information.
  • New Water Garden Partner: Enery Water Gardens for pond plants and fish at: 7601 Indiana Street in Arvada, 303-359-1783.
