Residential Landscaping > Renovations

According to an article written May 27, 2000 in the Rocky Mountain News, "It's essential to remember that an attractive landscape is a living entity that isn't instant but evolves over time, requiring both money and labor. Landscaping increases a home's worth, so at least 10 percent of the home's value should be budgeted for this integral component in the overall plan of creating personal home space."

Whether you're renovating your landscape for your own enjoyment or to increase the value of your home, you will benefit both when done properly.

In an article in SmartMoney Magazine on March 3, 2003, Realtor Gill Woods was quoted, "If you spend five percent of the value of your home on landscaping, and do it wisely, you might get 150% back."
