Spring Cleanouts:

March is the time of year to get started. Slots fill up fast, so call today since work is being scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Here is some information:

1. How much will my clean-out cost? That’s a difficult question to answer, but we try to clean your pond as cost effectively as possible. It’s based on size, seasonal effects, time since last cleaning, special supply requests, etc. Rates are $20 per 15 minutes plus a $20 trip charge with a 45-minute minimum.
2. When will my clean-out be completed? Our schedule is coordinated based on your locality (grouped geographically), so if you need to request a specific day or date, your clean-out will be scheduled after we have completed the majority of other clean-outs.
3. How will I pay for my clean-out? Payment is due immediately upon completion, so if you are not home, we will leave an invoice, which you can mail back to us the next day with a check.
4. Do I need to be home? No, but please leave the gate unlocked, dogs put away if necessary, the pump accessible if you’ve taken it out for the winter, outdoor water turned on and a hose out.
5. How does the pond get refilled? Once the cleaning is complete, we leave your hose on a trickle. By the end of the day when you return home, it will be full and you can turn off the water. We will have already reintroduced the fish and added dechlor as necessary.
6. How do we get signed up? Call the Office Manager now at 303-660-5015 to get the process started for you.

Pond Service General Info:

After receiving many requests from our clients to do service work on various aspects of their property, such as pond cleaning, repairs which are outside of warranty work, installation of low voltage light fixtures or bulbs, minor sprinkler adjustments, etc., we launched a "service" branch of our business dedicated to helping you with large or small projects that relate to work that we have previously done for you on a "project" basis.

Other types of work include installation of a pond heater or bubbler in the winter, changing of your barley straw every six months, delivery of fish food, adding bacteria or algae buster on a weekly or monthly basis, "freshening" your bark mulch each spring, adding koi to your pond, filling your pond due to evaporation-especially during the winter months when the auto-fill valve is shut down, delivering mossrock planters or stone benches, planting a couple small plants or pond plants, hand removal of string algae, etc. Not included is typical lawn maintenance such as mowing or planting of large trees, which would require several people. This would be handled on a landscape project basis.

Our technicians will be scheduled to your home based on your address for a specific day of the week. For example, someone living in Ken Caryl will be scheduled for the first Tuesday opening, while someone in Parker will be scheduled for the first Thursday opening. Our service area currently starts south of Sixth Avenue and continues to Larkspur. Based on prior interest, we suggest calling in early February for pond clean-outs because these are best done in March and April, and we are typically booked several months out for this type of work.

We currently are accepting such requests through our Office Coordinator at our normal business phone number 303-660-5015. When you schedule your appointment, be sure to tell us about outdoor pets and from where we can gain access to the project, such as a gate on the west side. Ideally, it would be best if dogs were kept inside on the day we are scheduled to do your work. We should never need access to the inside of your home.
